River and I still find water baptism to be an important ritual of dedication. We choose to hold a baptismal ceremony for those who are interested on Summer Solstice. It is on John the Baptist Day (June 24th) that we honor the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist. This is also the time that we choose to renew our vows of dedication by simply anointing our foreheads and hearts with a drop of water.
Here is A Goddess Inclusive Baptismal Ceremony …
From Sinner to Saint, From Darkness into the Light
You are baptized into the Waters of Life
To be submerged once again into the Mother of All the Living
To Rise and Be Reborn to this World
To Walk in the Newness of Life
You are baptized in the name of
The Father, the Mother, and the Blessed Son, Jesus Christ
Through The Divine, all things are possible
Arise to be a living Testament for Their Namesakes.
This ritual is included in our ChristoPagan Book of Shadows & Light.
